This series of concerts will be available in different formats, starting as a duet, and welcoming for several evenings several musicians, dancers and calligraphers from the Japanese contemporary scene.
Guylaine and Jean-Sébastien don’t explore a hypothetical differences in cultural identities, but the fertile tension revealed by the gap between civilizations. From this « between » comes a new together, specific to the shared moment, whose vocation is to create a unique field of listening.

Japanese artists invited :
• Naoto Yamagishi : percussions - http://www.naotoyamagishi.com
• Naoki Kita : violin - https://www.naoki-kita.com
• Tetsu Saitoh : double-bass - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Okua8bvXF2M
• Rabito Arimoto : trompet - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tR47Ldv-g3U
• Setsuhi Shiraishi : calligrapher - https://www.setsuhi.jp
• Mamiko Hosokawa : danse - http://mamikohosokawa.com/?tag=越生
• Hideo Ikegami : double-bass - http://www.hideoikegami.com

This duo visits the in-between, not sound but its meaning. It is the association and only it of these two musicians that will define a sound object, aesthetic, ethical; for here everyone works elsewhere, limiting by their respective sounds an empty environment, free to all interpretation. Their only desire is to create this link which by its mixture, its spinning, will reveal a form which, whatever one says, always presents itself as an end.
Attached exclusively to this attempt, they allow each listener to see better than them even what will come out of it, not with certainty, but on the contrary, with the distance to oneself that is necessary then. Guylaine Cosseron and Jean-Sébastien Mariage collaborate musically since 2016 in several projects, with the percussionist Sébastien Bouhana (Drôme), le Grand Orchestre Plage Sonore (Normandy) ...

This tour is supported by Sacem and Spedidam
