MORPHÈME #1 is a composition by Frederick Galiay for electric guitar and electroacoustic diffusion, interpreted by Jean-Sébastien Mariage.
The composition is considered as an excessive zoom of a hyper slowed transient : a microscopic diving in the tiny space witch separate the attack of the plectrum on the guitar string, from its resonance, extending this time to extract the spectral components.
The piece is a three parts continuum, themselves divided into four parts. Very slow progression, rare and quite distant events, allow the listener to question the relationship between space and spectrum: an immersive installation that plays on the memory of the (...)
